Florida becomes home to latest sales office for the Summit Steel Buildings’ team
Summit Steel Buildings boosts their metal construction services across the United States with a physical office in Miami to help clients coast to coast.
MIAMI, FLORIDA, August 10, 2026 – Summit Steel Buildings bolsters their construction services and client operations for American industrial and commercial clients by significantly expanding regional representation with their new sales and service office in Miami.
The new private office at the Brickell City Center in the heart of Miami's financial district opened in July 2026 with capacity for five employees, a conference room and full front office assistance. The need for more space is due to growing demand for Summit Steel Buildings’ metal facilities and construction projects throughout the United States.

Strategically establishing greater American representation further solidifies Summit Steel Buildings’ long-standing commitment to growing its collaborative network with commercial and industrial enterprises that need additional storage or production space. Pre-engineered steel buildings are ideal for
mining,
aviation and aerospace,
food
and technology
manufacturing and
warehousing. Among other uses, metal structures have become a very cost-effective building solution for community centres and recreational sports (such as for
golf, skiing, hockey arenas, pool facilities and indoor soccer fields).
Miami is the gateway to the Americas
Why Miami? Florida is one of the fastest growing construction markets in the U.S., and demand for hurricane-rated pre-engineered metal buildings particularly is strong. Custom-designed engineering using steel has been proven to provide more strength and resistance to high winds and fire, while delivering solid long-term performance that requires less maintenance. It’s also a fantastic location for accessing the rest of the American market. Brickell City Centre in downtown Miami gives the company a sales base within America’s Southeast to complement our work in Washington State and Arizona while positioning the company for national expansion.
Florida is familiar ground to Summit Steel Buildings’ leadership team. Company president, Darren Sperling (LinkedIn profile), graduated from the University of Florida business school before helping establish one of the U.S.’ top metal building companies through his sales and new project efforts. With the new Miami office, Darren will be back where his career started and closer to his home state of South Carolina where most of his family still reside.
From working on large government contracts to partnering with companies like LaFarge and Walsh Construction, it was in Florida where he learned about the steel building industry and the opportunities that existed. These experiences would eventually turn his dreams into the reality of founding his own company.
With a vast background of commercial, industrial and governmental segments (his work included overseeing clients as varied as NASA, the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force), Darren sees further established expansion throughout the U.S. as inevitable for the company.
“An expanding footprint in the U.S. underscores the strategic importance of the country as a world leader... This new workspace represents a significant investment and a clear demonstration of our enduring commitment to local business and developing national leadership in domestic facilities development.”
American-made domestic manufacturing = lower costs
Wherever the jobsite is located throughout the United States, all the building components and framing systems are made in American-based steel plants, so customers don’t have any exposure to any border taxes or exchange rate fluctuations. Summit Steel Buildings leverages their strategic network of four U.S. manufacturing facilities to minimize transportation costs and maintain reliable delivery times.
By producing components domestically as close to the jobsite as possible, the company eliminates cross-border complications to keep projects moving efficiently. American operations mean clients only pay local taxes based on their jurisdiction – no surprise duties, customs fees or international shipping charges to worry about. This streamlined approach translates directly to cost savings for clients.
An American presence for Summit Steel Buildings means faster response times, smoother project execution and the peace of mind that comes from working with a company that understands the U.S. market.
Delivering pre-engineered metal structures with enhanced service for clients

- Extended customer service hours to work with clients across the entire nation.
- Accelerated shipping timelines for building components to local markets from domestic manufacturing centres throughout the U.S.
Wherever your business is located within the United States, Summit Steel Buildings is dedicated to successfully managing all your construction and facility needs. We’ll provide you with preliminary designs and an accurate price estimate to support your future business expansion.
