Miami man with a steely eye for client service

As part of a closer look at the people behind your next construction project, we interview Summit Steel Buildings’ sales and project management team

Everything you need to know about Ryan McQuaid has been influenced by his experience growing up in the sunny state of Florida. Kissed by glorious sunshine and raised amongst the beauty of Miami’s beaches and blend of architecture based on historical pastel design, mid-century futuristic touches and bold modern high-rises build for a tropical climate, he’s established himself as a people person who enjoys building strong relationships. His sunny disposition and easy-going temperament fit his surroundings and puts him at ease within a culture that prides itself on mixing fun with getting things done.

As comfortable in the boardroom as on the golf course, Ryan has been involved in sales all his professional life. His early start as a university student working in restaurants and nightclubs (including Wall Lounge at the W in South Beach) taught him the importance and value of hospitality. That mindset has benefitted his clients ever since. Miami nightlife taught him about customer service, something that would propel him into the start of his sales career in fine wine and spirits sales for Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits consignment agency and into pharmaceuticals before eventually specializing in real estate with One Sotheby’s.

Sales taught him the importance of building relationships while his education (Florida Atlantic University before obtaining his MBA for University of Florida) taught him the technical skills of business management. This combination of real-world talents is now being used on behalf of Summit Steel Buildings out of their new office in Miami

In his new role, Ryan will be the key contact for U.S. companies looking to build or expand pre-engineered metal structures across the country. He supports the company’s American expansion led by Darren Sperling, president of Summit Steel Buildings, and a fellow graduate of the business school at University of Florida.

Ryan can be reached at 1-877-41STEEL, ext. 703 or 954-612-9559 or by email at ryan@summitsteelbuildings.com.

Please be sure to connect with Ryan on his LinkedIn profile.
