WINDSOR PLYWOOD RETAIL STORE

After losing their previous retail sales building to a fire, Windsor Plywood Salt Spring Island needed to build a new expanded state-of-the-art steel facility that could organize, cater to retail and wholesale clients and organize their inventory of building materials. Summit Steel Buildings designed and engineered the new complex that consisted of two steel structures, connected by a large, second-floor mezzanine, that cover a total of 18,000 square feet. The entire facility is supported by massive concrete retaining walls to protect it against water runoff from the area's hilly and wet terrain.

ROOF DESIGN: Low-sloped standing seam roof,
each with a symmetrical gable design
